“The project consisted of building a two-storey extension to the side of the house and completely renovating the interior of the original house.
As the extension involved the removal of an old single storey brick lean-to (previously used as a bedroom) and building the new two storey extension to blend in with the rendered front and side elevations, including mullion windows, to blend in with the natural stonework of the rear elevation care was required in handling the existing structure. The interior was completely gutted, replacing ceilings, most of the upper floors and relocating the bathroom to the upper floor.
The new extension was completed on the expected timescale and to the proposed and agreed budget. The work on both the interior and structure of the building had many challenges as expected with a 300-year-old dwelling but these challenges were engaged with in a professional and sympathetic manner and resulted in a finished home of a very high standard and finish.

We think that when praise is due then it should be recorded. At Chatsworth Grove, we wanted the kitchen and dining room to the rear of our house transformed. Our plans involved removal of old patio doors and window, removal of kitchen, removal of ceiling, removal of floor coverings, in fact gutting the whole area. Then we wanted new bi fold doors, a new kitchen, new boarded walls, new utility room, new plumbing, new electrics and a host of other works.
